The Membership Committee shall be headed by the Membership Committee Officer. The Membership Committee’s purpose will be to foster greater involvement from members in all activities of ACM.

Responsibilities

Day-to-Day

Besides the day-to-day for all officers, Membership Officer also has the following daily responsibilities:

• Check *[email protected]* email
  • Be on the lookout for Monthly Student Organization Updates from UTSA Student Involvement Center
• Check personal calendar for weekly meetings and initiatives.
• Check Slack messages
• For the first month of the school semester, table at no less than 2 times a week in the Sombrilla.
  • Days such as Mondays, Tuesday and Wednesdays have the most foot traffic on campus.
• Approved prospective members looking to join ACM through RowdyLink.
  • Must be an authorized user within ACM’s RowdyLink

Major Tasks

Organize BestFest and Día En La Sombrilla

• All necessary information is in notion under BestFest Event Checklist
• Kept in touch with Roadrunner Productions to assure ACM met requirements to participate
• Selected Item to sell
• Created volunteer sign up form
• Worked with treasurer to purchase needed items

Organize Fall / Spring Open House

• Email professors from personal UTSA email to ask for permission to present in their class.
  • Emails from *[email protected]* may be blocked when sent to professors.
• Gather ACM officers and junior officers to present amongst selected classes.
  • Open House presentations can be difficult to throw together, try to start early (1-2 weeks before classes start).

Table in the Sombrilla

• Focus of tabling is to get students not familiar with ACM to attend an upcoming meeting and join
• Posted in the ACM Officer Slack a sign-up form for when we’d be tabling for the week
• Engage chapter members in recruitment plans
