Why I’m Running

I joined last semester and quickly became deeply involved in the projects branch. Within a short time, I grew into a lead developer role and later a team lead for one of our main initiatives, HackKit. Through that experience, I learned how to lead teams, structure workflows, and make architectural decisions that directly impact project success.

Beyond just development, I focused on improving how we work as a whole. I actively contributed to shaping workflows, introducing better engineering practices such as linting, testing, and clearer file structures, and helping newer members grow into confident developers. I was also one of the few consistently pushing discussions around long-term improvements, both in how we build projects and how we support learners.

We experimented with different approaches, faced setbacks, and learned from them. That process gave me a strong understanding of what works and what doesn’t, especially when it comes to building a better learner pipeline. I also contributed to discussions around promotion, project direction, and future strategy, and I’m proud that my input helped shape where we’re headed.
