How to send a message as a group email

  1. Head to the account you wish to send the email from
  1. Click through gear icon > Settings > Account
  1. Now scroll down to Send Mail As
  1. Add the groups email (i.e. I would add team@acmutsa.org)
      • do not add the email as an alias

  1. Once added, you will need to head to the group's inbox and validate the new addition
Now, when you go to send an email from your personal inbox, you will have a dropdown option to send your email as your new group email.

NOTE

  • An initial problem with this solution is that when you send as your group email, you will also need to Cc that same email into the messages. If this is not done, the group inbox will not see the first email sent until someone replies all.
