Logistics
- Coordinates all venues, catering, purchases of goods, and volunteers.
- Schedules all workshops and side activities.
- Creates official schedules and maps for RowdyHacks.
- Works with all teams to collaborate and coordinate the event.
Hacker Experience
- Ensures all participant’s needs are being accommodated.
- Plans and facilitates all side activities.
- Devotes their efforts to make the participants feel comfortable, safe, happy, and having fun.
Outreach
- Ensures all backgrounds and groups are being represented at RowdyHacks.
- Communicates with universities and schools to promote registration.
- Facilitates greater participation from all over the world.
Sponsorship
- Grows the network of contacts.
- Builds long-lasting relationships with our partners.
- Ensures RowdyHacks meets the budget goals.
Design
- Designs all physical and digital marketing material for RowdyHacks.
- Creates a theme for RowdyHacks.
Finance
- Creates a budget for the event.
- Allocates a budget for each team and logistical specifics.
- Handles and keeps track of all purchases made.
- Shows the best financial practices.
Role Expectations
The RowdyHacks Committee shall be headed by the Director of RowdyHacks. The RowdyHacks Committee will organize ACM’s hackathon, RowdyHacks.
- Setting the date of RowdyHacks.
- Includes ensuring there are no conflicts such as holidays, major university events, departmental events, and major due dates pertaining to classes (tests and major projects).
- Contacting sponsors for funding.
- Includes creating the Sponsorship Letter and Sponsorship tiers.
- Finding and reserving the official location of RowdyHacks.
- Creating and distributing branding, including logo, flyers, website, etc.
- Finding and securing catering for all meal times (dinner, breakfast, lunch, and snacks).
- Ordering t-shirts, prizes, and promotional merchandise.
- Creating the schedule of RowdyHacks.
- Ensuring smooth setup and teardown of RowdyHacks.
